Why choose Biology?

Biology explains how living systems function, from molecular processes to global environmental issues. It is an excellent foundation for healthcare, research, environmental science and biotechnology.

What you will study

Biological foundations
Biochemistry, cells, exchange, genetics and variation.
Organisms and ecosystems
Physiology, evolution, ecology and interactions within living systems.
Practical science
Required practical work, accurate measurement, data analysis and evaluation.

Entry requirements

Standard PH6 entry requirements: at least five GCSEs at grades 9–5.

Science
Grade 6–6 or above in Combined Science, or grade 6 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Mathematics
Grade 6 or above.
