2026 GCSE Results
We once again celebrated an excellent set of GCSE results this year, with our students achieving consistently high standards across all subjects. Our headteacher, Mr King, was incredibly proud of the 2026 Park House students and the results that they achieved. Our standard of grades has remained exceptionally high, and our students have once again demonstrated the determination, resilience, and commitment that Park House encourages in its students. Mr King and the school take enormous pride in what our students have achieved this year and look forward to more amazing results in 2027.
Our results continue to reflect Park House School’s dedication to high academic standards, with core subjects achieving particularly strong results: 85% of our maths grades and 80% of our English grades were awarded at Grade 4 or above. Additionally, the important benchmark measure of students achieving a Grade 5 and above in both English and Maths has reached a most notable landmark of 60%, highlighting the strength of this cohort and their outstanding achievements. Nearly one third of all our GCSE entries were awarded Grades 7 to 9 – an exceptional result that demonstrates Park House School’s devotion to developing a strong foundation for our student’s next steps.
Park House is grateful to the dedicated staff and families who have supported our students during their time studying with us. We additionally look forward to welcoming many of these students back into our ‘outstanding’ sixth form where they will benefit from the same high levels of support, guidance, and ambition that have contributed to the wonderful KS5 results celebrated at the end of the 2026 academic year.
We are incredibly proud of every student from our 2026 exams cohort who we are sure will go on to reach new heights and achieve all that they hope to.
2026 GCE Results
Park House school has also celebrated another successful year for our A-level and vocational students, with the class of 2026 securing an impressive range of university places and a variety of exciting destinations for the next stage of their education and careers.
Following a strong run of results in recent years, this year’s cohort has maintained the school’s high academic standard, with 45% of A-level grades awarded at A*-B and 73% at A*-C. Students studying vocational qualifications have also achieved excellent outcomes, with the average vocational grade being a Distinction.
Our students have secured places at universities such as Warwick, Loughborough, Bath, Royal Holloway, and Queen Mary’s. We are especially pleased that almost every student has secured a place at their first choice destination, an outcome that reflects both the ambitious aspirations of the cohort and the high quality of results.
In particular, one of our students is going on to study a highly prized degree apprenticeship in accountancy, while three of our students received an impressive result of one A* and two A’s.
Headteacher Mr King was immensely proud of these achievements and is especially pleased to see so many of our students progressing to their first choice destinations as they begin advancing further towards their chosen careers and aspirations. He was especially pleased with the tremendous resilience and dedication of our A-level students and is grateful to their families and the wider Park House community for the support they have offered the school and its students. Mr King is delighted that their hard work has been rewarded with such a strong set of outcomes.
Beyond academic success, the Class of 2026 has left Park House School with a legacy of hard work, friendship, resilience, and service to the wider school community. Throughout their time at Park House, they have all contributed positively to school life and have represented the school with pride.
We wish our 2026 Sixth form cohort the very best of luck as they embark on their university courses, further education, apprenticeships, and other exciting pathways. The Park House School community wishes them every success in the future. We look forward to celebrating all that they go on to achieve.

GCSE Success
Our GCSE students have achieved the highest results in West Berkshire, with an outstanding 65% of students attaining a grade 5 or above in both English and Maths, this is 4% higher than any other school in the area. This is a testament to their hard work, determination, and the high-quality teaching and support provided by our dedicated staff.
I am thrilled to announce that our provisional Progress 8 score—an indicator of the progress students make between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4—indicates our students have achieved a full ½ a grade higher on average across each of their subjects than the national average. This is by far the highest in the school’s history. This score places us in the 'Well above average' category nationally and reflects our commitment to ensuring that every student reaches their full potential. In fact, our students have outperformed all other schools in the region, making this achievement even more significant.
Our A-level students have also set a new benchmark for success, with the highest results in West Berkshire. A remarkable 54% of students achieved grades A*- B, with 35% securing the top grades of A*- A and the average grade for each subject entry was a B-. These results are a reflection of the hard work and dedication our students have shown throughout their studies.
We are also thrilled to report that over 90% of our students have secured a place at their first-choice university, with many gaining entry to highly prestigious and high-performing Russell Group universities including Cambridge, Bath, Bristol, Loughborough, Cardiff, Exeter and Southampton. This is a phenomenal achievement and speaks volumes about the quality of education and guidance provided at our school.
These extraordinary results are not only a reflection of the students’ efforts but also of the unwavering support they have received from you, their parents and carers. Your encouragement and involvement has been crucial in helping them achieve such high standards. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to our dedicated staff, whose commitment to excellence has been instrumental in guiding our students to success.

GCSE & Post-16 Results 2023
This year our GCSE results were incredibly impressive. Whilst progress scores haven't yet been released, results were significantly up on last year, with the percentage of students achieving a grade 5+ in English and Maths moving from 45% to 52% and the average grade increasing to 4.6. This is despite a huge deflation in grades across the country, to bring grades back in line with pre-COVID thresholds. As a result, the Department for Education progress figures, or P8 sits at +0.29 which is well above both the national and West Berkshire averages. To achieve the best results since 2014 (when number grades replaced letters) in a year when grades were scaled back is a wonderful achievement for these students.
It was a similar story for Sixth Form; despite a national picture of declining results, we saw a vastly improved picture, with an average grade of a ‘B’. The percentage of A*- B grades rose from 38% last year to 53% in 2023, notably outperforming our neighbours St Barts! In addition, we saw an increase in the number of students gaining places at top universities. As a result, this means our Sixth Form is now in a very strong position and still welcoming students to join our Sixth Form and be part of this successful culture. To discuss courses and options please email phsix@parkhouseschool.org
These wonderful exam results sit alongside a variety of other improvements this year and I am fiercely proud of both our staff and your wonderful children who have worked so hard to make this happen.
