Once again the Berkshire Cross Country Championships were held at Newbury showground, after a wet and frosty week the athletes were in luck with the sun making an appearance.

U13 runners started the day with Lexi & Evie B running for the Year 7 girls after others in the team were unavailable, both girls ran well in a large field of runners from across the county. The boys were successful in filling a team which finished fifth out of nine teams with a fantastic run from Oskar L finishing sixth & Jude B 15th. The team consisted of Oskar, Jude, Jake L, Dylan S.

U15 boys ran well in a field of 100 runners with the team finishing sixth. Ant Wilkin qualified for the Berkshire team, finishing 13th with a fantastic run after struggling with illness earlier in the week. The U15 team was made up of Ant W, Olly B, Josh B Will H & Riley P.

Our senior runners for the day were the U17s. The girls running in a tough field mixed with the U19s. Lily G & Charlotte B ran well pushing each other to the finish with Emily G completing the team. U17 Boys had the biggest team of the day and finished 3rd - a fantastic effort in a quick race meaning runners were able to hit PBs. Congratulations to Max A, Jean-Luc S, Sam W, Aaron C, Lewis W & Will F

Ant W then travelled to Brighton on the 3rd February with the Berkshire team, he had a great run and is now a reserve for the team to go to English Schools. A huge well done to Ant.
