Park House School

Uniform and equipment

Park House school requires pupils / students to wear a school uniform. We believe that a school uniform provides a sense of belonging and identity whilst setting an appropriate tone for an education setting.

In developing our school uniform we have carefully considered what is required practically for classroom lessons or for sport, safeguarding and health and safety considerations, our obligations under the Equality Act 2010, and the DfE statutory guidance on school uniforms.

In line with government guidance and legislation, we have ensured that our uniform policy:

  1. Limits the number of branded items to no more than 4 items, these are:

  • Park House School blazer

  • Park House School tie

  • Park House School PE polo t-shirt

  • Park House School PE shorts or skort

  1. Adheres to the requirement to run tendering competitions for single-supplier arrangements to ensure best value for parents;

  2. Avoids single supplier contracts for non-branded items. Non branded items can be purchased from a range of retailers but must comply with our uniform requirements;

  3. Supports the use of pre-loved and second-hand items, which are available through our second hand uniform shop and  uniform ‘like for like’ shop.

  4. Avoids frequent or unnecessary changes to uniform to support affordability and sustainability, and takes into account the views of children and parents.

If you have any questions about our uniform, or are struggling through financial hardship, please contact us on office@parkhouseschool.org and we can support you.

Complaints about our school uniform should be dealt with under the school complaints policy which can be found on our school website.
