Why choose Core Maths?

Core Maths makes mathematics relevant to contemporary issues such as tax, payslips, the cost of living, environmental impact and mortgage repayments. It is designed to support subjects that use quantitative information.

Analyse data, evaluate claims and use estimation in practical contexts.

Personal finance
Explore tax, National Insurance, payslips, borrowing and repayment calculations.

Probability and modelling
Use normal distributions, probability, correlation and regression to interpret real situations.

Entry requirements

Standard PH6 entry requirements: at least five GCSEs at grades 9–5.

Mathematics
Grade 4 or above.
