Why choose Computer Science?

Computer Science is both analytical and creative. You will learn to decompose problems, design algorithms, write programs and evaluate the opportunities and risks created by digital technology.

What you will study

Computer systems
Processors, input and output, storage, software development, data exchange and data structures.

Algorithms and programming
Computational thinking, problem solving, standard algorithms and practical programming.

Programming project
Analyse, design, develop and evaluate a solution to a computing problem of your choice.

Entry requirements

Standard PH6 entry requirements apply.

Mathematics
Grade 6 or above.

Computer Science
Grade 6 or above if studied at GCSE; GCSE Computer Science is advantageous but not essential.
