On Thursday 13th February, I took 8 talented mathematicians to the GLT Year 7 & 8 maths challenge. Our A team was made up of: Phineas Allison, Lucy Mugford, Felix Bush and Bea Candy. The B team was: Sophie Snell, Henry Tanner, Eliza Hayes and Finn Knight. We travelled to Yate Academy, Bristol to compete against 12 other teams. Having lots of fun, completing a whole day of mathematical activities, the students did exceptionally well. They demonstrated mathematical resilience, determination and teamwork, resulting in Park House winning 1st and 2nd place for the day. Below is a table of the overall results – Park House smashed it! Well done to all the students involved.
