Park House School

'An Inspector Calls' at The Mayflower

On Friday 31st January, the English department continued its mission to provide every student in Park House the opportunity to visit the theatre this year. Following the success of taking the whole Year 7 cohort to The Watermill to see Pinocchio before Christmas, this time it was the turn of the Year 10s (and a good number of Year 11s) who were treated to an evening watching J.B. Priestley's classic morality tale 'An Inspector Calls' at The Mayflower in Southampton. Not only was it invaluable to be able to experience their GCSE text in performance, it was also a chance for the students to savour the atmosphere of an evening at the theatre with friends. To cap a wonderful night, it was great to hear from the usher after the show that our students had been the "best behaved school" all week.
