Charity and Community Events

One of our key values is Be Kind. Our aim is for our students to embody this value and we see our community and charity fundraisers as a way of demonstrating this value. Over the academic year we will be involved in many events that will help raise our students' awareness and provide them with opportunities to be kind.

Community Litter Pick

Another key theme that came out of our student voice survey was the impact of litter in and around our school. We decided to take action!

On the 16th March our student went beyond he school gates and conducted a community litter pick on the weekend. With the weather being glorious, the students managed to clear an incredible 3 full sacks of litter and a basketful of sharps and heavy items. The students who took part in the community litter pick were a real credit to the school. Well done all!!

Great Ormond Street

Our student leadership team wanted to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. This charity was selected by our student body. As a school we owe so much to this amazing charity. Before the February half term, we held a doughnut sale and a guess the sweets in the sweet jar competition. For this event we raised an incredible £735.14. This was such a heart-warming amount and we are proud to have donated this much money to the hospital. By giving a little back, we hope it can help contribute to further changing others lives

We thank you for your generosity and support.

Red Nose Day

For Red Nose day the student leadership decided to raise money for comic relief but also have fun with it. As part of this we joined our 'Fun Friday' with the Red Nose 'Fun'draiser. We raised nearly £300 by selling Red Noses and by hosting a Red Nose and Spoon obstacle race. This event was fiercely contested with Sofia H-S (Year 7 Albert) taking first prize for completing the course the quickest. Lots of fun was had by all those that took part including staff members.

Bags2School

Our parent association (PHSA) and school worked together to complete a Bag2School collection. The aim was to receive lots of donated clothing and items which would be collected to donate to people less fortunate and in need of such items. Again we were really proud to receive a huge amount of donations.

We again thank the students and parents for their kind contributions.
