School colours

Students who make significant contributions to the school can be awarded with Junior, Half or Full Colours. Students must be nominated for their contribution to one of four areas:

  • Academic - for exceptional achievement in lessons
  • Culture - for exceptional contributions to art, music, drama or other cultural areas
  • Sport - for exceptional contributions to the school's sports teams
  • Values - for being an exceptional role model and embodying the school's values

Students can be nominated by staff, and all applications are reviewed by the Colours Committee. 

Junior Colours

Junior Colours are awarded to students who have made a significant contribution the school. Students are eligible for consideration from Year 7 onwards.

Junior Colours confer a striped blue and white badge (pictured below).    

Half Colours

Half Colours are awarded to students who have made a significant and extended contribution the school. Students are eligible for consideration from Year 9 onwards.

Half Colours confer a fully blue badge (pictured below)..

Full Colours

Full Colours are awarded only to those students who have made exceptional contributions to academic, culture, sport or the school community over their time at Park House School. They are very difficult to achieve, and students become eligible for consideration in Year 11 and the Sixth Form.

Students who receive Full Colours are permitted to wear a special tie.

The dark blue colour reflects the 'Blues' which are awarded by some of the UK's top universities for exceptional sporting achievements.
