Sixth Form Football

It’s been a season of mostly tight games with a bag of mixed results for the Sixth form football team this year. We started off with a loss in the county cup to a very evenly matched Forest side.

A late goal clinched the tie going down one nil. Our next fixture we went down the road to our neighbour St Bart’s. A tough start to the game conceding early but we eventually grew into the game and start creating some chances in the later stages of the first half. We then got our equaliser early in the second half and went on in search of a winner. We won a late free kick and with an excellent delivery we manage to sneak a winner in at the far post to win the game 2-1.

Our next game was a home fixture against the Downs which was another tight affair which we lost 1 nil and then we travelled to JMA where we were comfortably beaten. We have one final game against Kennet with the hope to finish the season on a high.
