SIMS Administrator

 

Reporting to: School Office Manager

 

Job Purpose: To maintain the SIMS database for the tracking and monitoring of students’ attendance, performance and behaviour at school.  To direct the setting up of classes, timetables and marksheets in SIMS.

 

Working time: Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm, 37 hours per week, 43.8 weeks per annum.

 

Remuneration: Grade C £18,562 - £19,312 FTE.  Actual salary will be pro rata.

Governance Professional to the PHS Advisory Board


Reporting to: Chair of Advisory Board

 

Job Purpose: To ensure the continuity and effectiveness of Advisory Board (AB) business, by providing high quality confidential administrative support, working within the governance legislative framework. The governance for Park House School rests with the Trustees of Transform Learning Trust. However, the Trust wishes to delegate some of it powers to academy level.

 

Working time: The equivalent of 15 hours per term (6 terms per year and over 44 weeks per annum).

 

Remuneration: Scale Point 7 – 12 £20,092 - £22,183 full-time equivalent (actual salary will be pro rata).

Administrative Assistant – Student Services

Learning Supervisor

 

Scale points : 5-9 (FTE: £19,312 - £20,903). Actual salary (pro rata for term time): £16,322 - £17,667)

Contract: 37 hours per week, term time only (salary will be pro rata).

Job Purpose: To cover lessons in the absence of regular teachers, delivering the lessons/work provided in order to ensure continuity and coherence for students.

Reporting to: Principal and Senior Leadership Team

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering lessons/work planned by teachers in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
     

  • Manage the classroom and student conduct according the school policy, ensuring high standards of work and behaviour are adhered to
     

  • Support students with the completion of work as far as possible (as a non-specialist teacher), giving clear instructions and answering students’ queries on tasks/resources
     

  • Ensure registers are completed in a timely and accurate manner
     

  • Complete student report cards/attendance monitoring reports (where applicable each lesson)
     

  • Supervise and invigilate internal tests/exams
     

  • Assist curriculum departments with administrative tasks (such as photocopying) when/if no lessons require cover
     

  • By agreement, supporting school trips/visits (time off in lieu or paid overtime available when trips are out of normal working hours)

  • Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task undertaken may not be identified
     

  • Employees will be expected to also complete any reasonable request from the Principal to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description
