End of Summer Term Arrangements and Uniform Clarification 2018

As we enter the last weeks of term, I wanted to take the opportunity to clarify end of year arrangements and uniform expectations.

‘Summer Uniform’ arrangements run through until Friday 13 July. Ties and blazers are only required to be worn during our Prize Giving ceremonies on 9 and 10 July.

Wednesday 11 July we have Sports Day where students are allowed to wear PE kit or items of clothing in House colours.

Monday 16 July is Race for Life Day – now established as a great Park House tradition – and students are permitted to wear PE kit and trainers which may be accessorised with a piece of pink clothing or ribbon.

From Tuesday 17 July, students are permitted to wear non-uniform until the end of term on Thursday 19 July, although we respectfully ask that the no make-up and jewellery rule is still adhered to. Also please ensure students do not wear ripped jeans, revealing clothing or hair dye.

On the last day of term on Thursday 19 July, we will finish at 12.15pm. Please note that this is slightly earlier than our ‘normal’ end of term finishing time to allow students to catch service buses as per the standard weekly timetable; this year the bus companies are unable to make any alterations to their services to accommodate us.

The School mini-buses will leave at the earlier closing time of 12.15pm.

Term starts for all our new Year 7 students at 8.35am on Wednesday 5 September and at 10.00am for our new Year 12s.

For all current students starting Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 respectively the new term starts at 8.35am on Thursday 6 September.

I would additionally like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support of revised uniform arrangements over the recent heatwave and look forward to a rewarding and enjoyable end to the term.

Yours sincerely
D J Peaple
