Thank you...

We are delighted to now be able to share with you the Report from our Short Ofsted Inspection confirming the previous good judgement on the school.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all staff, students, students' families, governors and friends of the school for all your support in enabling us to continue to offer the great and fully rounded educational experience that all our students so richly deserve.

This latest Ofsted report is a fantastic outcome for us in so many ways. In particular because:

  • The report accurately captures the spirit of our school and commitment to 'developing pupils into fully rounded adults'  who ' value their school and the nurturing environment', feel safe and are consequently able to make good progress
  • The Inspectors agreed with the accuracy of our own robust self-evaluation of the school's current strengths and areas for further development
  • They were also completely satisfied that the actions that we are already taking or have planned to secure improvement are the right ones to move the school forward towards the outstanding status which is our next, legitimate aspiration

It is also worth emphasising that, by common consent, Ofsted have significantly 'raised the bar' since our last inspection. The confirmation of our good status doesn't therefore mean that we have in anyway stood still since 2012. Indeed, the report explicitly praises how we have further improved since then.

We are sure that you will therefore agree that the Report represents a wonderful reflection of all that we achieve together as a very special learning community; a community of which we can all be very proud.

Thank you again!
