8 June Update 2020

Dear Parents, Carers and Students

I hope that you had a good weekend and all remain safe and well.

I am keeping today’s briefing deliberately brief.

That’s because we are holding a full virtual staff meeting this afternoon to confirm key arrangements for learning for all year groups for the remainder of this term - as far as we can plan anything with certainty in the current circumstances. I will then be able to write to you again in detail in my Wednesday update to explain what we have in place.

In the interim, I can now confirm that we have received approval of our insurance claims for the trips to Iceland, Normandy, Paris and the Sailing trip. We hope to receive the insurance proceeds in the near future and then your refunds will be processed. Those who have made payments by cash or cheque will be contacted directly for their bank details for the refunds and for those payments made by credit/debit card refunds will be made directly to the card used.

Thank you to all those who have completed our well-being survey from last week.  This has helped pastoral staff begin to make contact with and support any students who are struggling. If you would still like to complete the survey, a reminder that it can be found on the Student RM Unify launch pad, named ‘The Great Big Lockdown Survey’.

Mr Marshall’s latest In-House Challenge can be found here. You’ll love it! >>>

With very best wishes
