24 June 2020 AFA News

Dear Parents, Carers and Students

It only seems a few weeks ago that I wrote to you but I wanted to share some exciting news. The Achievement for All Education Trust are pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Laura Bromberg to the position of Interim CEO. Mrs Bromberg is currently employed as Acting CEO until September until she assumes the Interim role from 1st September 2020 until 31st August 2021.

After studying accountancy for a couple of years, Mrs Bromberg completed a Geography and Education Degree, followed by a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Bristol University. Laura was quickly promoted at several schools, resulting in her becoming Gloucestershire’s youngest Headteacher, and one of the first cohort to gain the National Professional Qualification for headteachers in 1998. Whilst working as a Headteacher, Laura trained to become an OFSTED inspector, and after 12 year’s Headship, was seconded to work for Gloucestershire Local Authority in their school improvement team in Primary, Secondary and Special schools.

For the past few years, Laura has been employed by Achievement for All 3As, firstly as a Regional Director of the West (and then North), and most recently has been Deputy CEO (Trust). Over the last 18 months, Laura has worked closely with the Directors, Mr Peaple and the leadership team, and is very much looking forward to supporting Mr Goodenough when he joins Park House School in September.

Laura lives near Cheltenham, with her husband Robert, and when time allows, enjoys swimming, visiting the cinema and supporting the local community as a Parish Councillor. Mrs Bromberg is excited about joining Achievement for All Trust, and continuing working to support the Park House School community, she says,

I am really looking forward to leading the Education Trust at Park House School, where I have found the staff, students and parents a pleasure to work with. In attending the production of Grease, the Year 7 Open evening and Year 11 prize giving events last year, I was inspired by the enthusiasm, skill and dedication od students and staff. I am excited to have the opportunity to lead the Trust in achieving the very best outcomes for all students at Park House School, paving the way for additional schools to join us.

The Trust are delighted that Laura has accepted this role and we all very much look forward to working with Laura as our Interim CEO.

I will write again before the end of term to update you all on other Trust news.

Yours sincerely

Dr Coleen Jackson

Chair, Achievement for All Education Trust
