2020 Sports Presentation

Welcome to our 17th annual Sports Presentation. Traditionally this is a celebration during the 3rd week in June where we can come together to celebrate the commitment, passion and achievements you have shown through your sporting activities!  We could easily have just let this evening pass with us not being able to have an evening in school but we would miss out on being able to celebrate your wonderful achievements. It really has been such a shame to see such a promising year of sport curtailed only just halfway through the academic year. We have lockdown and quarantine and a distinct lack of competitive sport to watch, let alone partake in.

The PE staff have missed seeing you all terribly, both in lessons and in our extra-curricular activities.  You guys are the reason we pursue the careers we do.  We love spending time with you on the training grounds, on the field of play and on the journeys to fixtures.  Now, more than ever, we hope you can all appreciate that it is not just the competition that is important to us, in many ways that is merely a conduit for the important aspect of sport, the social bonds it creates between teammates and opponents.  It is this social aspect of sport that we know we are missing most of all, as well as seeing each of you push yourselves to be the best you can be.

Over the coming week, each year group will have a video released celebrating their sporting achievements and awarding players player and most improved players for each sport we played this year. Our virtual sports presentation will culminate with the prestigious Sports Personalities of The Year Awards being released on the evening of Thursday 25 June.  Prior to this, we ask you to join us in our celebration of Year 7 on Friday 19 June, Year 8 on Monday 22 June, Year 9 Tuesday 23 June and finally Year 10 on Wednesday 24 June.

Each Individual Year Group’s awards will be released at around midday on each of these days (apart from the main awards on Thursday 25  June) and can be found via our PE accounts on Instagram @parkhousepedept or Twitter @PHSSport to find out more.

Our first video with the Yr 7 awards is here...

Congratulations to all winners and to all students who were involved in sport this year.

A special thank you goes to Mr Sutton for his amazing media skills in creating the videos for us to share with you all.
