Chief Finance and Operating Officer (CFOO)

Transform Learning Trust is looking for a Chief Finance and Operating Officer to lead our back-office staff in providing an outstanding service. As an expanding Trust, we currently have Park House School in Newbury, and our Head Office is based on site. This exciting post will be to work for 4 days a week on academy accounts, and a day a week on Trust accounts and operations. If you are a qualified accountant, this would be a huge benefit.

Duties

  • Fulfilling the strategic role of Chief Finance and Operating Officer, which includes strategic planning, submitting statutory DFE returns, managing audit, and producing monthly consolidated accounts
  • Attending Trust Executive Team meetings and school SLT meetings, and reporting to the Board of Trustees
  • Working closely with the academy Principal and with the CEO. Deputising for the CEO in their absence on day-to-day Trust issues
  • Overseeing the smooth operation of procurement, asset management and resources
  • Management of an academy finance office including all day-to-day academy financial operations and returns, ensuring that the best possible use is made of resources for the benefit of the students

In this role, flexibility in approach, with the ability to find creative solutions will be essential.

Full time. Salary: £43,857- £52,460
