It's only the end of January...

Oh dear.

We have only just finished January.

Surely the most miserable of months. Cold. Dark. Downbeat. Flat.

Boasting amongst its short, grey days, the allegedly most depressing of the entire year...

So let's brighten things up. Brighten them up thanks to the amazing work of our students and staff

It's only the end of January, but did you know that already this year...

Five teams of Year 7s attended the national TeenTech City event and created models of future buildings from recycled materials with all teams winning a category and one group winning the top award for most innovative buildings...

A team of Year 8 students have won the Faraday Challenge at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory against other schools from across the country...

We've celebrated renewal of of our Computing At School Centre of Excellence status for the South of England with local MP Richard Benyon...

And just this week ex-Year 13, current Teaching Assistant and Bobsleigh star Annabel Chaffey was a national Education Excellence Awards finalist based on her amazing, combined academic and extra-curricular achievements...

But, to use another timely metaphor, I also know this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Every day in our classrooms and labs, on the fields, in the Art, Drama, Dance and Music studios amazing things are happening thanks to the wonderfully positive and creative learning relationships that exist between students and staff.

And I'm inspired by them, every day.

And it's only the end of January.
