Happy... there’s no place I’d rather be

As a corollary to last week’s Endgame offering, its about at this time every year that I begin to plan my Leavers’ Assemblies for the outgoing Year 11 and 13 cohorts. As an outline framework, I usually tend to...

Reprise my first Assemblies with them as a Year Group (16 years in post and counting means I have a fair repertoire to call on now!)...

And from the year they joined us...

Pick one or two key moments in current affairs...

Revisit who won x-Factor (to show I’m in touch with youth culture!)

Of course pick out the Sporting highlights...

Remind them of most popular films they probably saw at the cinema (with many duly embarrassed that they could possibly have seen that)...

And conclude with a burst of the biggest selling hits of the year they joined. For the outgoing Year 11 cohort, who joined us in September 2014, it just coincidentally happened to be these two...

Cleab Bandit

So, as another year group moves on, I can genuinely this time say to them that I hope there’s no place that they’d rather have been for their learning and that they’ve all been happy together here at Park House...
